         The first Tamnanthai (“Thai Legend”) restaurant was opened in 1991 by Chai and Supa Yanyonglert on Soi Ladprao 71. It was in a very traditional Thai style wooden house, with ornate decorations. Tamnanthai serves authentic Thai food. Supa has been learning how to cook since she was very young from her parents and her mom’s relatives who were talented cooks. She used to take a cooking class in a five-star hotel in Bangkok as well. Overall, she can be described as an enthusiastic epicurean. Tamnanthai dishes feature fresh and high quality ingredients. We value cleanliness in every step of the cooking process.

 
 

All sauces are made daily with savory ingredients from Tamnanthai exceptional recipes. Our consistency in high-quality food and service has allowed us to stay in business for over 21 years, with the majority of our customers visiting more than once.

         The second branch was opened in 1997 at Ploenchit Center Building on Soi Sukumvit 2. This branch targets the tourists and business people around Bangkok’s main business district. The third branch was expanded to the Times Square Building in 2001. In 2004, the fourth and fifth Tamnanthai branches were opened at Food Wave - Royal Garden Plaza Pattaya next to Pattaya Marriott Resort and Spa and Royal Garden Plaza Bangkok on Charoennakorn Road. The sixth and seventh branches were opened in 2009 at Central Festival Pattaya beach in the Food Hall of B floor with a more elegant dining area on the sixth floor.
